LGBTQ+ AFFIRMING THERAPY FOR INDIVIDUALS & COUPLES · CA & FL
Self. Partnership.
Friendship. Family. Community.
Our connections take many shapes. Some relationships have ease, while others are fraught and complex. Let’s be curious about patterns you are seeking to change, both within yourself and with others. When our relationships are healthy, we experience one of the central joys of being human.

Work for all kinds of relationships — monogamous, open, polyamorous, and kink-aware — on connection, communication, and repair.
ABOUT ME
Hi, I'm Skyellen.
I'm a clinical psychologist licensed in California and Florida, and I work with individuals and couples on the relationships that shape a life — with a partner or partners, with family and friends, and with yourself.
My approach is active and collaborative. I'll engage, reflect, and think alongside you rather than listen quietly from across the room. I work from the belief that secure attachment is possible in all the flavors a relationship can take, and I draw on approaches like PACT, mindfulness, and ACT, shaped around what you need.

HOW I WORK
Active
Therapy is about more than being heard. I will listen to you and participate actively in sessions. My goal is to fully engage with you and offer skills and tools you can use outside of the therapy room.
Collaborative
I see therapy as a collaborative dialogue where we each bring something to the table. When we engage with another person we gain insights into how to get unstuck.
Curious
This is a judgement-free space. Our behaviors always make sense when we consider the context. I encourage compassionate self inquiry to better understand ourselves and move out of shame.
Values-Based
What are the values that anchor you in difficult moments? What really matters to you? I can help you identify your core values and how to get back on track with effective action.
For the relationships that shape a life —
including with yourself.
I work with adults navigating anxiety, attachment patterns, boundary-setting, and the relationships that shape a life. I work with a wide range of couples — monogamous and non-monogamous alike — with additional specialty in LGBTQ+, queer, poly, open, and kink-aware relationships. My approach draws on mindfulness, PACT, ACT, and schema therapy, adapted to what each client needs.
